Our Work

Our Work

The Education for Peace Foundation is a non-political, international initiative committed to rebuilding a thriving education system in Gaza. We were created in response to a profound local need and are rooted in the belief that education is one of the few forces capable of breaking cycles of conflict.

We are a foundation in formation, assembling the governance, safeguarding, and global partnerships needed to scale this work responsibly and sustainably.

Our Ambition:

A resilient education ecosystem for future generations. By 2030, we aim to:
522
modern schools built across Gaza
500,000
children reached within five years
30,000
teachers trained and supported
1
scalable model for restoring education in conflict-affected regions

Our Phased Approach

We are building this education system with care and purpose - one phase at a time. Each step is designed to strengthen trust, ensure quality, and lay the groundwork for long-term stability.
Phase 1
Laying the Groundwork (0-6 months)
Our first priority is to establish a strong foundation. This means assembling expert teams, designing a world-class curriculum, and working closely with local leaders and international partners.
We are also putting in place the highest levels of governance and safeguarding - so that every future school rests on solid ground.
Phase 2
Launching the First Schools (6-24 months)
We will open a small number of pilot schools - centres of excellence that demonstrate what’s possible.
These first schools allow us to refine our approach, train local teachers, and gather real-world feedback from students, families, and communities.
It is here that the vision begins to take root - visibly, credibly, and in partnership with those we serve.
Phase 3
Building the Full System (2-5 years)
Once the model is proven, we will expand across Gaza - establishing 522 schools that provide safe, high-quality education for 500,000 children.
Each school will be part of a connected, inclusive, and resilient system - grounded in local leadership and guided by global standards.
Together, they will offer not only learning, but stability, opportunity, and hope for a new generation.
